Apparently this last AC,

A few people drew me on a napkin so I could go to dinner with them. Thanks guys. That is one of the sweetest/dorkiest things I have ever heard of.

That is freaking adorable. Does anyone have the napkin for a scan?

I miss you guys.
Guess we'll just have to make this next FC kick more ass to make up for my absence.

Truly,
Kigs

Played Poker with some friends the other night.

I was getting crappy hands but managed to stay in the game for most of the night. At one point I bluffed a friend out of a few bucks with a pair of twos. At another point, I drew a pocket Queen and an Ace of Hearts and left the table to have a cigarette. When my friend asked me if I was going to fold, I just told him to have me match whatever anyone raised and tell me if I won when I came back.

Pair of queens. Another three bucks. Good ol Texas Hold em.

Not a bad game. Well worth the five dollars to play. God knows I drank that much in beer. The numbers eventually caught up with me and I walked away from the table for good. At least for the night.

It seems that my luck has been catching up with me lately. As the great pendulum swings, ripples of movement impact ones life. Pami is back is town and we are no longer fighting. Positive ripple. I can't find a good job. Negative ripple. I'm slowly finding more freelance work. Positive ripple. My car stopped working Saturday and hasn't turned on since. A very large, very negative piece of karmatic debris in my pond.

I'm going to call a friend and have him take a look at my car. Some friends from the filming last week suggested that it may be a fuel injector problem. I'm hoping that the transmission has not gone out.

Either way, I will most likely have to get a crappy job in Brentwood soon so I can make the funds to fix my car. I will not work retail or sales, which definitely limits the possibilities in this suburban town. It just feels so demeaning having done four years of college and being reduced to doing something like making coffee or selling insurance.

I have to do something soon or that pendulum is going to cut me next time it comes around the middle. You can't bluff a machine.

Truly,
Kigs

April Fools day is like Christmas on the internet.

It's the one day where this place becomes my stomping grounds. This year was the year of the Rick'Roll. I had never even heard of being Rick'Rolled until this year and I must have fallen for it a dozen times.

Yes, Lazaro was actually my great grandfather. Weird eh?
Yes, everything else that I posted yesterday was an April Fools Joke.
No, I am not being deported.
No, I am not actually unhappy with Airu or Mala.
No, I am not emo.
I thought the bad poetry in the last one would have been a dead give away.

I suggest that everyone go sign/read the Petition to keep me in America. There are some epic entires in there.

I would like to thank everyone who played along. You made yesterday believable.

To everyone who fell for it,
Thank you for caring and/or defending me.

Please take this as a reminder not to start drama over livejournal, as it simply turns into an elongated series of ROFLs and LOLs. The truth of the matter is that friends deserve a better place to explain themselves on serious issues than an online forum.

Don't disrespect them by posting passive aggressive, or simply aggressive, messages on the internet.

Finally, there were a few exceptional April Fools Day jokes which I would like to acknowledge and share.

The Best Rick'Roll Award goes to jonaswins for convincing forty people that Yerf was back up.

The Classic Award goes to buttfacemakani for this year's best Character Theft.

The Highest Production Value Award goes to IGN for the Zelda Movie Trailer

The Nerd award goes to Blizzard for announcing the release of World of Warcraft: Molten Core on a console platform. It's based on how the Native Americans sold their land for beads and then later attempted to renounce the deal and keep the land.

That was one hell of a tangent.

Last Summer I went to visit Mala. We had a grand ol time watching movies and going hiking. At one point she let me go to work with her and help feed the Giraffes. After a week, she thanked me and gave me a statue of a white wolf with black moon and star markings on its butt. A small feather hung from its ear. I was touched.

Over the last year I have grown quite attached to this statue. It's helped me through rough times; providing meditation aid and a pleasant atmosphere. Recently, I begun to feel a very strong connection with it and decided that this White Wolf must be my Native American totemic spirit animal.

Then, out of freaking nowhere, Mala calls me up and demands her statue back. She's moving out to Texas and wants to take it with her.

Guys I need your help.
This presidential campaign has made me giggle more than any one in the past. Perhaps it's the level of mud slinging or perhaps I'm just old enough to fully appreciate the three ring dog and pony show.

But thus far, this quote has brought the most joy and laughter to my heart.

"Ron Paul could never be President. He is too short"
-Pacific Young College Republican

Thank you PYCR meeting. You never fail to entertain.

Truly,
Kigs

Conundrum Soup

Soup Bones are amongst the most confounding of food specimens.

One is confronted with the choice between a chicken (or beef) cut with a bone or without a bone. There are advantages to both.

In boneful soup, the broth tends to be richer and full of flavor. The downside of this is that one must gnaw the meat off of the bone once it has been retrieved from the bowl. This also leads to silly silly images of people attempting to peel meat off of a bone using a spoon; the most useless of utensils where meat is concerned.

Boneless soup is easier to manage. The meat can be cut up into smaller, easier to manage pieces which can be happily devoured with a spoon. No trouble. No additional problems. No gnawing meat off of a bone. The negative aspect of this is that it tends to lead to a less savory broth.

I am pro-soup bones. There is something primordially enjoyable about gnawing softened meat off of a bone. It's the same reason I love T-bone steak.

malaikawolfcat appears to be a proponent of boneless soups for easier enjoyment.

Where do you sit on this grand divide?
The world demands to know!

Truly,
Kigs

I am finally back in Brentwood.

My friends in Sacramento kidnapped me Saturday night and forced me to drink their alcohol, play their video games, and deal with their company. It was horrible. There was beer and pizza everywhere.

Empty bottles lay strewn on every flat surface like corpses from a volatile war. A war in which humanity had finally triumphed over the forces of crappy liquor and arisen victorious...and drunk.

My comrades stuck with me until we met our hop-filled end and fell into a deep slumber. I didn't truly wake up until this afternoon.

Lots of fun. Lots of good conversation.
We need to do it again some time.

Truly,
Kigs
