The entry that never was

justblieve wrote up a Wiki entry for me.

Some of the gems included in the report were:
"The Titantic Sank in anticipation of his impending awesome"
and
"When he grows up, he hopes to become: George Washington, etc, etc, or a verb"

Unfortunately, the moderators deleted it because they said that it was, "nonesense".

EARTH TO WIKI,
It's the internet. The internet is made of nonesense!
In any case, all of the facts included about the North American Kigeni were completely accurate and informative.

Apparently, Wiki is simply not prepared to handle the intricate details of my existance.
C'est la vie.

If I can get a log of the original wiki post, I'll put it here for all you folks to see.
It is a thing of beauty.

Truly,
~Kigs

Indeed. Bring friends and I can introduce everyone to an awesome sushi boat place in SOMA. Or we can just eat our way through Chinatown. Or hijack one of the trolleys, that'll confuse people.

I was a picture of myself operating a Trolley full of folks with a bottle of wine in one hand.

Apocalyptic Christmas Showdown of 1984
"C'est le vie" is the proper spelling.

I would have added the fact that you were born of fireworks in the kitchen and once created a fleet of subsurvient chickens along and averting an impending zombie crisis by convincing the zombies to go vegan (and therefore eat grain rather than brains)

I think if you have an account there, you can say whatever the hell you want to say about yourself on your user page, but your actual article has to be factual.

This is, generally speaking, correct. There is a place for personal expression, and that is a user page. It is not the "official word of WikiFur", and so doesn't have to sound like it. :-)

I sent an e-mail thingy to the admins protesting that the page be brought back.

Besides, I have more to add to it :||||||

Try Uncyclopedia.com.

As noted, the Internets is Serious Business.
Our readers come to WikiFur for a factual reference, not for lists of silly in-jokes. There is nothing wrong with silly in-jokes, per se, they just make bad WikiFur articles. It's not what the site is about. It is true that if you have an account on WikiFur and keep them to your user page, most likely nobody would care. That's your place for personal expression.

Conversely, the main namespace is our place for information about you. The article posted there was not suitable for it, and so it was deleted. We would, on the other hand, welcome an article detailing the unembellished accomplishments of Kigs within the furry fandom (I regret that I was not able to report on them first-hand from FC, due to a schedule clash.)

In general, I believe that such articles are more impressive than any amount of nonsensical hyperbole, if only because they're harder to write. :-)

S is for Serious :|
Just to clarify my own confusion, am I correct in believing that you have commented on my livejournal as a representative of WikiFur?

I regret that the format of the article was deemed unworthy, but respectfully assure you that all details mentioned within are either oddly worded but acurate facts about my me or are references to prior jokes which I have made during public stand up comedy acts. As such, I believe Malaika felt that they should be included in the afore mentioned document.

I understand why you took it down, but wished to poke fun on my livejournal. Your reply seems to make it clear that you took it with a grain of salt, and I respect that.

Hopefully, I will be able to see you at a future event. Make sure to drop by and say hello.

Re: S is for Serious :|
Correct!

I am sure Malaika had the best of intentions. There are many places where that specific contribution would have been most welcome. Alas, we cannot be all things to all people, and other sites are already managing such coverage quite well, so we try to leave that to them and focus on the boring stuff, with maybe a dash of colour (as long as it's not plushophile gray :-). We try to avoid pages that are a rainbow of lite-brite, as it were, though we don't always succeed. :-)

If you're coming to Anthrocon or MFF, I can hope to see you there.

Ack! A leaky link! I hope it does not use up your supply of blue. I would hate for the background to fade on my account.

Thankfully, this lj's blue reserved seem nearly endless.

Technology these days. Thanks again for the personal response. :)

I will be attempting to make a trek out to AC again this year to do stand-up and help out with the Improv panel. Though, I may have to cut my trip short due to work.
